Today on this 1996 Nissan Maxima, were going to install part number 60945 from Hidden Hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the vehicle. Next well give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 12 and a half inches, and from the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper will be around six inches. Next well give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 12 and 3/4 inches, and from the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper will be about four and a half inches. Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. The first thing were going to do is go ahead and get inside the trunk area of the vehicle and remove the spare tire. more
