Best 2012 Lexus RX 350 Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2012 Lexus RX350. Here we have the CURT, part number C13143. Here we have the Draw-Tite, part number 75676. When these are both installed, they're both going to be hidden up underneath the bumper, and all you're going to see is the receiver tube and the safety chain loops on both our CURT and the Draw-Tite. Now the main difference between these two is going to be the weight capacity. The CURT here has a 600 pound tongue weight and a 4,000 pound trailer weight, whereas the Draw-Tite is going to have a 400 pound tongue weight and a 4,000 pound trailer weight. Now when using a weight distribution system, the CURT is going to still retain that 600 pound tongue weight, but the towing capacity is going to be bumped up to 5,000. more

Today on this 2012 Lexus RX 350 we're going to show you part number C13143 from Curt. This is a class three trailer hitch receiver. All right, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on the vehicle. You see it's got 2 inch receiver right here, and it his a nice round collar around the opening. On the bottom here, of course, we have our chain loops for our safety chains. This does use a 5/8 inch hitch pin as well. Okay, now for a proper installation, the under body panel needs to be cut out as well. more

Date of 2012, Lexus RX 350. We're going to install part number 87569 from Hidden Hitch. This is a two-inch receiver hitch, Class III application. All right, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our RX 350. Next, we'll give you a couple of measurements that help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. Now from the center of the hitch-pin hole, the outside edge of the bumper will come out to about 4-3/4 inches. From top of the receiver opening, down to the ground, will be 15-3/4 inches. Now we will go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. All right, first thing we need to do is get the vehicle ready. more
