Today, on our 2013 Kia Sportage, were going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13066. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. Now, it is a Class III hitch, so it's going to give us that 2-inch by 2-inch opening. Now, the receiver tube does have a nice reinforced collar, giving it that nice clean, finished look, and adding a little bit of strength. Now, our hitch is going to use a standard 5/8 pinning clip. Its not included, but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. Now, the safety chain loops are going to be a rolled steel stock welded to the bottom. more

Today our 2013 KIA Sportage, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the draw tight class two custom fit trailer hitch receiver part number three, six, five, one, zero. So here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. The cross tube is going to be tucked up underneath our bumper, and all we're going to see is the receiver tube opening and our safety chain loops. Now, it is a class two hitch, so we're going to have that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. And it has a nice reinforced power giving it added strength and a nice look. Now, it is going to use a standard half inch pin and clip. It's not included, but you can pick one up on our website using part number pc two. more

Best 2013 Kia Sportage Hitch Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2013 Kia Sportage. The first hitch that we'll be looking at is the CURT class three, part number C13120; followed by another CURT class three, part number C13066; and then the Draw-Tite class three, part number 75717; and lastly, the Draw-Tite class two, part number 36510. All of these hitches are very similar. When they're mounted on the vehicle they all come out to where you see about the same amount of hitch. The biggest difference that you're going to see in these four is that with the Draw-Tite class three it's going to have a mounting bracket for any wiring that you may want to use. Now up top we've got two CURT class threes here. As you can see, aesthetically speaking they look the same. The real difference that you're going to see between them is that on this CURT class three down here it features a 350 pound tongue weight rating, whereas on this one it features a 525 pound tongue weight rating. more

Next we're going to give you a couple of measurements to assist your selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 5 3/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 13 inches. This will assist your selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. Now we'll go ahead with the installation. more

From the center of the hitchman hole 00:17, to the auto side 00:18 of the bumper is 5-1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver to the opening to the ground is 13 inches.
