Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be checking out our best trailer hitch options for the 2017 Jeep Renegade. We're gonna be looking at three different hitches today. So right here, we have the etrailer hitch, this one is the CURT, and this one is the Draw-Tite. If you we're to ask me what one I would recommend for the Renegade, they're all gonna work just fine, but I think some are kind of suited a little bit better for particular things than others. So for example, if I just wanted kind of a good all-around hitch, right, to do some towing, accessories, things like that, I would probably lean towards the etrailer one just because I think it looks the best out of the lot. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Jeep Renegade

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Renegade, we're going to be installing Curt's Class Two 1-1/4 inch trailer receiver. Part number C12142.And this is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. As you can see, you are going to be able to see the cross tube that goes across, and your receiving hitch, but it is going to be tucked back so unless you're up close you won't really notice it too much. It has a Class Two 1-1/4 by 1-1/4 inch receiver, this is going to be great for bike racks, cargo carriers, and light towing. It uses a half inch, hitch pin and clip. Now one of these does not come included with your hitch but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com, part number PC2.It features plate style, safety chain loop holes. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Renegade we're going to be installing Curt's Class Three, two inch trailer hitch receiver, part number C13269, and this is what it's going to look like when it's installed. It is going to be visible underneath the bumper here. The cross tube is going to stick out. But when you approach it you won't really notice it until you get close because it's so far back.This is a Class Three, two inch by two inch hitch receiver so it's going to be great for all of your needs from bike racks, cargo carriers to towing, it will handle everything. It features plate style safety chain loops and it's got a nice enough opening to where it will accommodate just about any style safety chain. It uses a 5/8th inch hitch pinning clip.Now one of these doesn't come included with your hitch but you can pick one up here at ETRAILER.COM using part number PC3. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk we're gonna take a look at, and show you how to install, the Draw-Tite Max Frame Class III Custom Trailer Hitch Receiver, offering the 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, as part number: 76021.Here's what your hitch is gonna look like installed. As you can see, it's gonna be pretty visible in the rear of the vehicle. We'll have that cross tube that's gonna go all the way across the rear, and then up to where it connects with the frame. In the middle we're gonna have our receiver tube opening. This is a Class III hitch, so it'll have a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening; makes it extremely versatile. I think on the Renegade, probably your bike racks, cargo carriers, accessories like that are what you're gonna see the most of, and just about all of those are gonna come in a Class III variety. more
