Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best trailer hitch options for your 2012 Jeep Patriot. Here on top we're going to have etrailer's hitch, part number E98836. Here in the middle we're going to have our Draw-Tite, part number 75712. Here on the bottom we're going to have the CURT, part number C13081.These three hitches we have here are going to be very, very similar. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Jeep Patriot - Curt- Video

On this 2012 Jeep Patriot we're going to review and install a Curt class 3 2" receiver hitch, Part number C13081. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Patriot. You notice all you can see is the receiver tube itself. The rest of the hitch is hidden behind the bumper cover. Let's take a closer look at the receiver. This is our 2" opening right here. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Jeep Patriot - Draw-Tite- Video

On this 2012 Jeep Patriot, we're going to show you part number 36423, the Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4" receiver hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our vehicle. This is our 1-1/4" opening right here. It has a ring around it to help reinforce the end of it. Also, it uses a 1/2" hitch pin right here and it uses a conventional loop right here for your safety chain. This will give you plenty of room for all the types of different safety chains that are out there. After this, the receiver goes back behind the bumper. There is a necessary cut in there to make room for it. more

All right this is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Patriot. You see, there's really not much to see except for the receiver itself. On this 2012 Jeep Patriot we're going to review and install part number 75712, a Draw-Tite, Max-Frame, Class III, 2 inch receiver hitch. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Patriot. You see there's not really much to see except for the receiver itself. On our end of the receiver we have a reinforcement which is kind of rounded, a nice finished edge to it. This is our 2 inch opening here. You'll notice on the side there's 2 hitch pinholes. more
