Today on our 2006 Jeep Liberty, we'll be installing Hidden Hitch, Part Number 87006. This is what our hitch to look like once it's installed. Next, we'll give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the rear spare tire is 9-3/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 15-3/4 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a drawbar, a bike rack or cargo carrier. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Jeep Liberty- Video
Today we are going to install part number 13044 from Curt, and we are going to install this Class III receiver hitch on a 2006 Jeep Liberty. We will show you where the hitch mounts up. It is going to mount up along three holes in the frame here, here and here. And this has a skid shield in place. Your vehicle may not have the skid shield, so it is going to have the empty three holes. And it is going to be the same thing on the other side. In this case, this actually comes down with a recovery hook that is in place. This whole piece and assembly will actually have to come down and stay off when the hitch is installed. Again, there are three bolts on each side behind this hook, too, just like on the passengers side. more
