Alright, here are a couple of measurements that will assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch such as a drawbar, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 5-1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 15-3/4 inches. Now, lets go ahead with the installation. Our first step with our install is going to be removing the tow hook here on the drivers side. more

Today on this 2012 Jeep Compass were gonna install part no C13081 form Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when is installed in the vehicle. Next were going to give you some measurements that will help you select some accessories such as ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier.From the top of receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 15 inches and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 6 1/2 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing that we need to do is make a cut up in the bumper for the hitch. If we find the center of the bumper then we can use these 2 rivets here and here. more
