etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Jeep Cherokee

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Jeep Cherokee. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Cherokee and it is gonna be a hidden cross tube and that's nice because you're not gonna be able to really see anything except for the receiver opening of the hitch, giving you a nice clean OEM look, but all the usability of your hitch, and this one is a 2"x2" receiver tube opening, so you're gonna have tons of options for ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, or honestly any accessory that you may load up here. 2"x2" is a nice one to find a bunch. All of your accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now, the hitch does not come with one. A lot of times the accessories that you pick up will have one, but if you wanna pick up a locking version, those are really nice because you can leave your accessories in place, lock it in and know that no one's gonna be able to just walk away with those. more

etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Jeep Cherokee

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. This hitch is a exposed cross tube meaning you're gonna see pretty much the whole portion of the hitch, but honestly on a Jeep it kind of pulls it off well and it also has a matte black powder coat finish so it's a little bit more subtle than a typical gloss black. Now this is a two inch by two inch, which is gonna be great. It's kind of the standard size for a bunch of different accessories. So if you're picking up a ball mount, cargo carrier or bike rack, this is gonna be the size to really open up the options. And when you have your accessories in place you're gonna be using a 5/8 pin and clip. more

Best 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailer Hitch Options

Hola neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the best trailer hitch options on a 2018 Jeep Cherokee. Now, when looking at hitches for your vehicle, they can all kinda start to look the same, and sometimes, it's hard to decipher which one's the best for your vehicle, so hopefully, I can help that decision process. And today, we have four different ones to pick from, so up top, we have our Draw-Tite, next, we have an etrailer hitch, following that, we have a Curt, and then, we also have another selection from etrailer. Now, you can can see right away that there's gonna be two main differences that you'll see, and the first one is going to be that this is a hidden cross tube, and that design basically means that you're not gonna be able to see this portion of the hitch, whereas this one, since the receiver tube opening is in line with this, this is gonna hang down past the rear fascia, so this will be visible on the back of your car. Here, we have the etrailer installed, and this is the one with the hidden cross tube, and you can see that the rear fascia is right here and it's all covered up, except for this portion that's hanging out, so you still get that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is great, but the rest of it is hidden, so it gives it a little bit more of a cleaner OEM look. Now, the trade off to having that hidden cross tube is the fact that the installation's gonna be a little bit more difficult, not by a whole lot, but mainly, you're gonna be dropping down the mufflers to get this up into place, because this has to sit above the muffler. more

Hi there, Jeep owners. Today on your 2019 Jeep Cherokee, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, etrailer's Class 3, two inch trailer hitch receiver. You can see that the cross tube's gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper with just our receiver here at the back. And it's tucked up nicely so it really doesn't attract too much from the looks of the vehicle. With it having the matte finish that you get on the etrailer, it really blends in with the plastic black coloring of the rear fascia on these Jeeps. This hitch has a two inch by two inch receiver, so it's gonna be great for all of your towing needs whether you want to use this for bike racks or cargo carriers or if you want to throw a draw bar in it with a ball and haul a trailer. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2020 Jeep Cherokee

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. today on our 2020 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Curt class three trailer hitch receiver.Compared to some of the other hitches, the thing I like most about this one is the way it's going to look. For the most part it's going to be completely hidden, the only thing you're going to be able to see is this receiver tube opening. In my opinion, that really helps give us more of a factory look to it. It's going to sit up nice and tight against the bottom of our Jeep, so it's really going to help with ground clearance, really not going to take away from that, and the receiver tube is going to sit kind of just behind our bumper here, so it's going to give us some pretty decent bumper clearance. That's really good because many of our Jeep customers plan on using their hitch to do a little bit of everything, towing and even those accessories, so that extra clearance is really going to come in handy when we go to use an accessory, particularly the folding ones.Since this is a class three hitch, it's going to give us a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. more

There's another CURT option available, and that one has a crosstube that comes across and goes up, and it's pretty visible all the way. This gives us a very nice, clean appearance, although it does take a little bit more work to get it installed. It's part number is C13171.Now here's what our hitch is gonna look like installed. As you can see, we have a visible cross tube, it's gonna go pretty much across the rear of the Jeep, meets here in the middle at our two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening. Now, as far as the look's concerned, if you don't like the appearance of a hitch that stretches all the way across we do have other options. They're a little bit more difficult to install, though, so it's kind of a give and take. This one's easier to put on.The brackets we have here on the side go down and around our exhaust, so there's no need to lower the exhaust, and there's no need to trim our inaudible 00:00:51 panel. That can sometimes get kind of intimidating, people don't like to do it, so this gives us a good alternative so we can get a hitch on our vehicle, utilize the two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening, and not have to make any vehicle modifications. Now, this is a Class III hitch, that means it's gonna make it very, very versatile. more
