Best 2005 Honda Pilot Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2005 Honda Pilot. The two best hitch options for your Honda Pilot are going to be the Draw-Tite class three, part number 75599, and the CURT class three, part number 13328. The biggest difference that you're going to see between the Draw-Tite and the CURT is that here on the Draw-Tite the face of the receiver tube opening and the hitch pinhole are further out. That's going to give you more clearance to the rear of the vehicle, but that's also going to make this a little bit more visible than here on the CURT. Both of these hitches are going to be great for your class three hitch-mounted accessories such as bike racks, cargo carriers, or ball mounts, but I think the biggest determining factor is going to be do you want one that's going to give you more clearance or do you want one that's going to be a little bit more hidden. We've got a CURT here on this Pilot. Although that Draw-Tite gives us more clearance you're still going to have pretty good clearance with this CURT because it isn't too far recessed in from the rear of this bumper here. more

Trailer Hitch Intallation - 2005 Honda Pilot - Hidden Hitch- Video
Today on our 2005 Honda Pilot we'll be installing Hidden Hitch, part number 87454. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. Now we'll give you a few measurements to help you choose a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4". From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 17". To begin our install we'll first need to remove the tow hook on the driver side of our Pilot. We'll remove the three fasteners that secure the hook to the frame. more

We'll remove the three fasteners that secure the hook to the frame. Then we'll need to lower the exhaust from the passenger side. more
