Today in our 2013 Honda CR-V, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Etrailer class three custom-fit trailer hitch receiver. Part number E98868.So here's what our hitch looks like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be invisible, hanging down right below the bumper here, but the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out.Since this is a class three hitch, it's going to give us that two-inch by two inch receiver tube opening, so we're going to have a really wide variety of options for any kind of accessory that we want to mount up.The way we're going to mount any of our accessories is the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept standard 5/8ths pin and clip. While these are not included in our kit, you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are secure.As far as the safety chain connection points go, it's going to be a plate style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. And as you can see, we'll have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off.As far as weight capacity goes, our hitch is going to have a 350-pound tongue weight, which is going to be the maximum downward pressure at the receiver tube. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Honda CR-V - Hidden Hitch- Video
Today on our 2013 Honda CRV we're going to be installing the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 90089. Now here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. The ball mount pin and clip are included with this hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 3". From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 14". Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now before we begin, let's go over the tools that we'll be using today for our installation. more

Next well give you some measurements to help you out selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 14-1/2 inches. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper will be about 1-3/4 inches.
