Trailer Hitch Installation - 2000 Honda CR-V - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on this 2000 Honda CRV, we're going to install Part Number 24790 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our CRV. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of our hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the spare tire is going to be about 9-1/2 inches. From our top of receiver opening down to the ground is going to be about 15-3/4 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. Our first thing to get our vehicle ready for our hitch, we need to lower our exhaust out of the way. more

Today on this 2000 Honda CR-V, we're going to be installing Curt hitch part number 13314. Before we get started with our hitch installation, we're going to go ahead and show you some of the final install dimensions which are going to help make choosing your hitch accessories a little bit easier. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is going to measure 17 inches and from the center of the pin hole to clear the spare tire on the rear is going to be approximately 6 and 1/2 inches. Now we're going to go and move onto our installation. And the first thing we're going to need to do is over here on the passenger side of the vehicle, go ahead and lower down the exhaust system, so we have some more working room.
