Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install, the etrailer Class III 2-inch Hitch Receiver on our 2022 Ford Transit T250. Adding the hitch receiver to the back of your Ford Transit's gonna allow you to do a couple of different things. It'll allow you to haul a bike rack or a cargo carrier if you have something like a Transit that's converted into a camper van, or if you're like the owner of our van here and you just wanna pull smaller trailers to get to the job site. This is gonna be a great option. I like how the matte black carbide finish on it, it's gonna match all the plastics on our van, so it's gonna look really good and it's gonna help you to haul those accessories. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Ford Transit T250- Video

Today on our 2018 Ford Transit T250 you're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Curt Class III trailer hitch receiver. This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. As you can see, the cross tube is visible. However, it's up close enough to the bottom of the bumper, that it's not going to take away from the vehicle. It makes it nice for a work van. It's going to be a Class III hitch. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Ford Transit T250 C14012- Video

Today on our 2018 Ford Transit t250, you're gonna be taking a look at, let me show you how to install the Curt class 5 trailer hitch receiver.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. So you can see the cross tube is nice and high up behind the bumper. Maintaining a nice clean look on the back of the vehicle.It's gonna be a class 5 hitch, it's gonna be 2 inch by 2 inch, have a nice reinforced collar on your receiver tube, give you a little extra stability, hitch pin holes gonna be 5/8 inch in diameter. The hitch does not come with the hitch pin in clip, or we can find them here at etrailer.com, it's just a standard 5/8 inch hitch pin.You're gonna have plate style safety chain loops, they give you plenty of room for different size hooks. This hitch is gonna have a nice black powder coat finish, it's gonna resist any rust or corrosion.We're gonna have an 800 lb max ton weight, which is the downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube, and an 8000 lb max trailer weight, which is the trailer plus the load included. You can use weight distribution with this, tongue weights going to go up to a 1000 lbs, trailer weights gonna go up to 10,000 lbs.I always recommend checking the owners manual of the vehicle, make sure the vehicle can withstand that amount of weight. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Ford Transit T250- Video

Speaker 1: Today on this 2015 Ford Transit T50, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 4 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C14012. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. First thing you notice about the hitch is that it's really well hidden underneath the vehicle. The receiver sits back far enough that as we're loading cargo in and out of the back of our van, we don't have to worry about running our shin into it.On the side of our receiver here, you'll find our 5/8th of an inch diameter hitch pinhole. You use a pin and clip to secure your hitch mounted accessories. On the receiver, you find this nice collar that's welded on to help give us a nice finished look and it also improves the strength of the receiver opening. more

The two CURTs here are gonna have a clean, flush cut collar, and it's gonna give you the added strength and just have that nice, clean, finished look. Now, the Draw-Tite is gonna have more of a rounded rolled look, more of a smooth finished look on our Draw-Tite here compared to the CURT.Both of your class three hitches are gonna install relatively the same. Pretty straightforward, we're just have to put some hardware in place and use some existing holes that are in the frame. Now, our class four though, on the other hand, it is gonna install a little bit different. We're gonna have a few holes that are already gonna be there in the frame, but then on each side, we're gonna have to drill a few holes as well.Our two class three hitches are gonna have a round cross tube, where the class four's gonna have a square cross tube, but all three of the hitches are gonna have a visible cross tube sticking out just below our bumper.Now, each one of our hitches are gonna give us a two inch by two inch opening, and they all three have reinforced collars. more

Today on our 2016 Ford Transit T250 we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the DrawTite Max Frame Custom Fit Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver. This offers the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. It's part number is 75912. Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed on the Transit. It hides nicely underneath the rear bumper there, even on the inset area of the bumper, it's going to be inside of that so you won't have to worry about bumping your legs or anything like that on it. It's got the rounded reinforcement collar. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Ford Transit T250 - Curt- Video

Today on our 2016 Ford Transit T-250, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver. This offers the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. It's part number is C13193. Here's what our Curt hitch is going to look like installed. You'll see that flushed reinforcement cal 00:00:20 around the ends, kind of in set from the back of the bumper, so it's kind of conveniently tucked away, up underneath the back of the transit, but there when we need it. This is a class III hitch, so it's going to be very versatile. It's going to work out for, of course, cargo carriers, bike racks, things like that, but inaudible 00:00:35 back of the transit probably towing needs are going to be more important to you. more
