Today on our 2018 Ford Mustang we're going to be installing Draw-Tite's class I, 1.25 inch trailer hitch receiver.This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. You are going to be able to see the receiver and the cross tube, but overall it's tucked up underneath so it shouldn't detract too much from the looks of the vehicle. It's a class I, 1.25 x 1.25 inch receiver, so it's going to be great for bike racks and cargo carriers and really light towing. It uses a 0.5 inch hitch pin and clip. One doesn't come included with this hitch, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. It features hoop style safety chain loops, which are going to be great because they have a large opening so it will accommodate just about every shape and style of safety chain.It features a 200 pound tongue weight, that's the force going down on top of the receiver, and a 2,000 pound gross towing capacity, that's how much you can pull behind it. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best trailer hitch options for your 2018 Ford Mustang. The main difference between these two, or the biggest difference I should say, is our kit is only going to work with the fastback model, where our Draw-Tite will work with the fastback or the convertible model.Couple other minor differences that we can see right off the bat. One is going to be how they install. Our CURT is going to have two mounting locations on the outside of each frame rail and two on the bottom, where our Draw-Tite is going to have one on the outside of each frame rail and two on the bottom.
