Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Ford Mustang - Curt

Today on our 2013 Ford Mustang, we'll be installing the Curt Hitch, part number C11210. To begin our install we'll first need to lower the exhaust to gain access to the attachment points and access hole in the frame. To lower the exhaust, we'll first remove the rear rubber isolator from the metal hanger. We'll spray it down with a spray lubricant and then use a pry bar pliers to remove the rubber isolator from the metal hanger. Next we're going to loosen the exhaust clamp just in front of the muffler to allow us more working room. Now with the clamp loose, we can pull down on the muffler. Each attachment point for this hitch is going to get a carriage bolt and block in the frame and then after the bolt goes through the frame through the hitch, we'll secure it with a flange nut. more
