From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12 inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a drawbar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. more

Today, we'll be installing hitch number 13551 on this 2011 Ford Flex. Before we begin our installation, we'll give you some measurements that will allow you to select a bike rack or a cargo carrier, or other items that you like to install in the hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole out to the farthest part of the rear bumper, we have 3-3/4 inches. From the ground to the top of the receiver opening, we have 12 inches. Now, lets go ahead and install the hitch on the vehicle. The first step in installing the hitch is to remove the M12 bolts on the forward edge of the muffler bracket on each side of the vehicle. more
