Best 2008 Ford Edge Hitch Options- Video

Best 2008 Ford Edge Hitch Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2008 Ford Edge. Up top we're going to have the CURT class three, part number C13067; followed by the Draw-Tite class three, part number 75992; and finally the CURT class two, part number C12036. The biggest difference that you're going to see between these two hitches is on the Draw-Tite the crosstube here is going to be completely tucked behind the fascia because this receiver tube is welded to the bottom of that, where on both CURT's it's welded in-line with that crosstube so you are going to be able to see some of that crosstube from underneath the rear fascia. On this Draw-Tite it's going to have two pinholes. It's got the standard 5/8" hitch pinhole that's going to be used to secure all the class three accessories. It also has the smaller 1/2" hole which is going to be good for use with a j-pin stabilization system, which helps to eliminate so that shake and play in the shank to help provide a nice quiet, secure ride for your accessories. The class three CURT has this nice large reinforcement plate that's welded onto the top of the crosstube and the top of the receiver tube opening, which helps give it extra stability and durability. Also, when looking at the hitch on the vehicle, that helps give it a little bit cleaner look as well. more
