Today on our 2011 Dodge Ram pickup we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options available. The three hitches we'll be taking a look at the today are all Class 5 hitches. They're all going to work with or without your factory hitch installed. First we have the CURT Commercial Duty Hitch with a 2-1/2" by 2-1/2" opening, which is part number C15809. Next we have the CURT Extra Duty with a 2" by 2" opening, which is part number C15409. Then finally we have the B&W Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch. more

All right. Today on this 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, we're going to install Part Number 13333 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like once installed in the truck. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you in selecting some accessories such as the ball mount, bicycle rack or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper is about 2 inches. On top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 21 inches. more

Today on our 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 were going to install part number 13374 from Curt. Alright, this is what the hitch looks like when its installed in the truck. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost point of the bumper is 2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 20 inches. Now lets go ahead with the installation.Weve already gone ahead and removed the spare tire to make it easier to install our hitch. Next, we need to remove two of the frame bolts the forward fastener for the bumper tube. Each process here on the driver side well repeat identically on the passenger side. more
