Trailer Hitch Installation - 1995 Dodge Ram Pickup - Curt- Video
Today on our 1995 Dodge Ram pickup we're going to review and install the CURT class five Extra Duty 2" receiver tube hitch, part number C15300. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. We've got a fully welded construction with a strong square tube that attaches our receiver tube, which is a 2" by 2", has the pre-drilled 5/8 pinhole, and chain hold downs on either side of our receiver tube. It's got a nice classic look that adds some nice finishing touches to the look of our vehicle. Now our hitch is capable up to 2,400 pounds of tongue weight and 16,000 pounds of tow capacity. Next I'll give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. Today on our 1995 Dodge Ram Pickup we're going to be installing the CURT 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 14001. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, we've got a nice, sturdy fully welded construction with a square crosstube. Another really nice feature about this hitch is that our crosstube is hidden mostly behind the rear bumper, so the only thing really exposed is our 2" by 2" receiver tube, our 5/8 pre-drilled pinholes going through the receiver tube, and our chain hold downs on either side of the receiver tube. This is capable up to 1,000 pounds of tongue weight and 10,000 pounds of towing capability.
