Best 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. Up top here we're going to have our etrailer has, which is going to be a Class 3. Right below that we'll have our Draw-Tite that's also a Class 3. Then finally at the bottom we'll have our CURT, again a Class 3 hitch. Since all of our hitches are going to be a Class 3 hitch, they're all going to give us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening and have a lot of different accessories available that we can mount in them, all the way from a ball mount, a bike rack, or even a cargo carrier.Regardless if you're towing and you're using a ball mount or you're just using it for a bike rack, all of the accessories going into each one of our hitches is going to use a standard 5/8 pin and clip to secure them. However, the Draw-Tite you'll notice there is going to be a secondary hole towards the opening on our receiver. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan you're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Etrailer.com Class 3 trailer-hitch receiver, code number E98854. Speaker 1: This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You're gonna see the only thing noticeable is our receiver tube. Cross tube is gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper fascia. This does sit nice and tucked in behind the outer edge of the bumper fascia, so we're not gonna have to worry about hitting our legs or our shins on it when we're loading and unloading the vehicle.It's gonna be a class 3 hitch, 2-inch by 2-inch. Hitch pin hole is gonna be 5/8 inch in diameter. more

Today on this 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we are going to be installing Hidden Hitch part number 90169. Here are a couple measurements that will assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. To the center of the pin hitch hole to the outermost point of the bumper is 6-3/4. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12-3/4, now lets go ahead with the installation. Before we install our hitch we are going to want to lower the exhaust to give ourselves some more working room on the passengers side. To lower the exhaust, I am just going to remove the exhaust hanger bolts. more

From the center of the pin hitch hole to the outer most point of the bumper is 6-3/4, from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12-3/4. Now lets go ahead with the installation, before we even install our hitch we are going to want to lower the exhaust to give ourselves some more working room on the passengers side. To lower the exhaust Im just going to remove the exhaust hanger bolts. We will do the forward hanger just behind the muffler on the tail pipe. more

Next we are going to give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center of the pin hitch hole to the outer side of the bumper is 5-1/2 inches, and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 10-1/2 inches. Now I will go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. Okay the first thing you need to do is go ahead and loosen the exhaust. more
