Best 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan Hitch Options- Video
Today on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to compare our three best hitch options available; CURT Hitch part number 13389, Draw-tite Hitch part number 75305, and our Hidden Hitch part number 87719. Each one of these hitches is a class 3 hitch that has a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. All three hitches are capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight, with a 3500 pound tow capacity. As you can see, all three hitches are similar. The Draw-tite and the Hidden Hitch are actually exact duplicates of each other. The install of each of our hitches is going to be similar. more

Today on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be installing Hidden Hitch class three 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 87719. Now as you can see it's got a sturdy steel construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. Everything's kept nicely underneath the bumper so it doesn't stick out, with the exception of our receiver tube to make it nice and easy and accessible. This is our class three hitch. Has a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. When added with a weight distribution hitch we can go up to 400 pounds of tongue weight and 4,000 pounds of towing capability. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on this 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to install part number 75305 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 12 1/4 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2 3/4 inches. Today, on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan with stow-and-go seating we'll be installing Curt hitch, part number 13389. Now before we begin our installtion, here are a few measurements to help you in selecting accessories such as the cargo carrier, bike rack or a draw bar. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outer most part of the bumper is 4 inches, and from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 11-3/4 inches.Now let's go ahead with our install. Now to begin our installation, we'll need to remove the two outer 10-mm bolts attaching the rear spring shackle to the vehicle's frame. We'll also remove the single 12-mm bolt from the vehicle's frame just forward of the spring shackle, here. We'll do this on both sides of the vehicle. more
