But before we get into that why don't we just take a minute check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. With the Durango being a full size SUV, you know these things are pretty capable and people do a lot of different things with them. And so having a hitch back here makes sense you know, it's gonna open up your opportunities on what you're gonna be able to do. One thing I do wanna mention, cuz this does happen, these actually have a removable panel here that pops off and if you haven't already you might get lucky, check behind here, You might actually have a factory hitch on there already. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Dodge Durango, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number 76196. The really nice thing about this hitch is that it's not going to be sticking out whenever we're not using. It's going to be hidden right behind the door. So we can come to the bottom, release the tabs, pull the door off and our hitch will be right here.It is a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, giving us a lot of different options for accessories. All the way from a ball mount up to some of the larger bike racks that can hold up to five bikes. The way we're going to mount all of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole on the side. more

Today on our 2017 Dodge Durango, we're going to take a look at also show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver. Offering the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, it's part number is C13182. This is what our hitch is going to look like installed on the Durango. Our connection points up here on the frame rail are going to be hidden. Kind of drops down, comes underneath the rear fascia to our 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening here. Going to have a flush style reinforcement collar, gives us a nice clean look. You'll see that's inset on our bumper so you won't have to worry about bumping our legs on it. more

Today on our 2017 Dodge Durango we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, offering the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. It's part number is 75713. This is what our hitch is going to look like installed. Visually from behind the vehicle we'll see the side plates, we're going to see the cross tube coming over to the receiver tube opening. With this being a Class III hitch it's going to be extremely versatile, tons of accessories that you can put in here, cargo carriers, bike racks, of course ball mounts for towing trailers. There's any number of things that usually make it in a Class III version, so you should be able to take advantage of it. To secure all those items in place going to have the pinhole closer to the front of the vehicle. more
