Trailer Hitch Installation - 2001 Chrysler Town and Country - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2001 Chrysler Town and Country, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch, part number 24702. Now to begin our install we'll move underneath the vehicle, and locate the bottom of the frame rail. Then moving forward from the end of the frame rail, we'll need to remove the manufacturer's bumper bolt. Inside the frame is the bumper structure and this bolt is one of the two that secure it. We're going to remove the forward bolt on each side first. Next, into the weld nut where we just removed the bolt, we're going to install a two-way threaded stud. Before I install it, I'm going to spray each weld-nut with a little spray lubricant to make it easier for our new stud to go in position. We're going to go ahead and thread it up into place as far as we can. Once we have the driver's side done, I'll move over to the passenger side and repeat the same process. more
