Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2017 BMW X5. Now, this is what the hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and the great part about it is it's gonna stay looking pretty nice because it's a hidden crosstube. And even the receiver is pretty tucked back so you get a nice, clean look and still the utility of the two-inch-by-two-inch receiver tube opening. And that's gonna be a great option for a hitch because most of your accessories do come in that two-inch configuration. more

The bottom here is an attachment where we can either put in our receiver end or if you've got the full tow package, you can put your drawbar in and do some towing.Here, you can see our components. Best 2017 BMW X5 Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Today, you're gonna be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2017 BMW X5. Up top, we have a Class III Curt. Below that, we're gonna have a Class III Draw-Tite. And then finally, down here at the bottom, we're gonna have our Class III EcoHitch.If it we're me looking for a hitch for my BMW, I would go with the EcoHitch for a few different reasons. I really like the finish on it. It has more of a textured finish rather than just the high gloss, and also, it is gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper, and we have the option to remove the receiver tube if we want to.But let's take a closer look at all three of our hitches and go over some of the features. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 BMW X5, you're gonna be taking a look at and show you how to install the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver. Part number 13077.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You can see the cross tube is completely hidden behind the bumper fascia. The only thing we see is the receiver tube, and it's nice and tucked in behind the outermost edge of the bumper fascia. We're not going worry about hitting our legs or our shins on it when we're loading or unloading the vehicle.You can see it's going to have a reinforced collar, give you a little extra stability on the receiver tube. It's gonna be a Class 3 hitch and it's going to be 2" by 2". more

Now, this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You can see the cross tube is completely hidden behind the bumper. All you can see is the receiver tube. It's going to be a class three hitch. It's going to be two inch by two inch. more
