Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 BMW X5

Shane: Today, I'm going to walk you through how to install the Draw-Tite class three trailer hitch receiver on your 2014 BMW X5. Adding a class three hitch to your vehicle is going to allow you to not only pull smaller trailers, maybe you have a small boat, maybe you have a small camper you want to pull, but you can also put a cargo carrier, maybe a bike rack on it. Putting a cargo carrier on, bike rack, it's going to keep you from either having to put the bikes inside the vehicle or put them up on top of the car. This is going to make it a lot easier. Putting cargo carrier on, you can get stuff from inside, put it on the cargo carrier, make more room for your passengers. Our hitch is going to be a steel construction, black powder coat finish. It's really going to help resist any rust or corrosion, stay looking nice for a really long time. more

Best 2014 Bmw X5 Trailer Hitch Options

Today you're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2014 BMW X5.On top, we have a class three curt. Below that we're going to have a class three draw-tite and then finally down here the bottom we're going to have our class three eco-hitch.If it we're me looking for a hitch for my BMW, I would go with the eco-hitch for a few different reasons. I really like the finish on it. It has more of a textured finish rather than just the high gloss and also it is going to be completely hidden behind the bumper, and we have the option to remove the receiver tube if you want to.But let's take a closer look at all three of our hitches and go over some of the features. Now the first thing you'll notice is that all of our hitches are going to share a very similar design and that's because each one of them, the cross tube is going to be meant to be hidden behind the bumper, and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out, so we're not going to be taking away from the looks on our BMW.But the eco-hitch has taken it a step farther and if we come and look at the receiver tube here, you'll notice there's going to be a bolt. This bolt is going to hold our receiver tube in place. Now whenever we're not towing, or we're not using our hitch, we're going to remove the bolt and pull the receiver tube out and then it will be like it's not there and have no outward appearance change on our BMW.Here we have our draw-tite installed on our BMW and you can still see it has a really nice look and this is about what the curt's going to look like as well. more
