Best 2011 BMW X5 Hitch Options- Video

Today on our 2011 BMW X5 we'll be looking at our best hitch options. Here are our two hitches here today. On the top we have a Draw-Tite class three, part number 75600. On the bottom here we have a CURT class three, part number 13077. Now both of these hitches are a fairly involved installation. You have to remove the entire rear bumper cover of the vehicle and temporarily remove the rear crash bar. The Draw-Tite hitch here on the top reinstalls using factory hardware. more

Okay today on this 2011 BMW x5, were going to install part number 75600 from Draw-Tite. All right this is what the hitch looks like once its installed on the vehicle; next well give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 13-3/4 inches. The center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2-3/4 quarter inches. Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. Our first step is go ahead remove the bumper fascia, well start off by removing three plastic pop rivets on each side on the inside edge of the thunder well, these plastic rivets have to be drilled out. more
