Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2018 BMW 5 Series- Video
Today on our 2018 BMW5 Series we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Curt Class One custom fit Trailer Hitch receiver.So here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. The crosstube's gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper and all we're gonna see is that receiver tube right here at the bottom. Our hitch is gonna offer us an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, since it is a Class One. It's gonna be great for some of those smaller bike racks or cargo carriers. Where 00:00:28 we're gonna mount any of our accessories so the hitch can hold here on the side. It is gonna accept a standard half inch pin and clip, now these are not gonna be included with the hitch, but you can pick 'em up here at etrailer.com.Now if you do plan on doing some light duty towing, keep in mind that there is a drawbar that's specifically made for our hitch here, and you can also pick that up here at etrailer.com, but our safety chain loops are gonna be welded to the bottom of the receiver tube, and as you can see even with this oversized hook, we're still gonna have plenty of room to get it hooked up or take it off.Now as far as the weight capacity goes over hitch, it's gonna have a 200 pound ton weight, which is the maximum downward force at the receiver tube along with the 2,000 gross trailer weight reading. more
