Longview Towing Mirrors Review - 2022 Chevrolet Colorado- Video

Adding towing mirrors to your truck is gonna allow you to get additional visibility and increase your safety when you're going down the road. The Longview, they actually just snap and hook onto the side of your mirror, and it's gonna basically give you a good amount of space to increase your visibility. Now, what you're adding to your mirror, you're right about a foot overall. As far as the mirror surface itself, you're right little bit over 5 1/2 inches wide. As far as the height on it, right at about 4 1/2 inches. more

Now, adding towing mirrors to your vehicle is gonna allow you to get a better perspective of what's going on behind you when you're towing a trailer. Just gives you a better view of the road by adding an additional mirror, so you can extend your field of vision. Overall, what you're adding to the vehicle, well, to the mirror, you're right here at the top, about 11 and a half inches. Overall, a little bit shorter, 13. Your mirror itself is right at a little bit under six at the widest point. more

As you can see, taking a look from the driver's perspective in the rear view mirror, this is where your visibility is with the stock mirror. So you notice you have a pretty good amount of space, but you don't have a full picture of the lanes next to you. Adding your towing mirror gives you this wider perspective so you can see more of what's going on behind you, and it just gives you an extra measure of safety. So let's take a closer look at our mirror itself. It's constructed of PVC plastic, which is gonna hold up against the elements, UV light, and the weather as far as the heat and the cold. more

As you can see, using your OEM mirror from the driver's side perspective, you still have plenty of field of view where you can see what's going on behind you, but adding that additional towing mirror is gonna give you that additional visibility and safety to see the whole picture of everything behind you, even traffic from the middle of the next lane. So it can be very helpful and safe to just add that addition when you pull in a trailer. Let's take a closer look at the materials and some of the features that make the snap and zap a little bit better as far as your towing mirrors. The coolest thing about it, it's all one piece. Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about our Longview custom fit towing mirrors on our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This is gonna be a great option for you if you want to help haul anything in more of a safe fashion. So let's check it out. So what I'm gonna do first is just show you how to put 'em on because they are really quick and easy to do. All I gotta do is line up this interior of the towing mirror with our mirror and it'll have an LH to let you know for the driver's side and an RH for the passenger side. We're just gonna slide this so it fits around the contours of our mirror until it feels pretty snug. more

CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2024 Ram 1500- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and be showing you how to install the CIPA custom fit towing mirrors on our 2024 Ram 1500. Now the main feature here is that these are custom fit. All the plastics are gonna be custom molded to fit around the different shapes and contours of your Ram and it gives you a pretty solid fit overall. But one thing to note about this one compared to some other options like the ones from Longview or K-Source is that our RAM has turn signals on the factory mirrors and those different towing mirrors had cutouts so you could still see them, whereas this is one solid piece. You're gonna lose those features on your Ram if you have them. more

Longview Slip On Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2024 Ram 1500- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Longview Custom Fit Towing Mirrors on our 2024 Ram 1500. So the main feature here is that these are custom fit, which means all the plastic is custom molded to go around the mirror of your Ram. And there's some special cutouts like here for our turn signals, so you don't have to sacrifice that feature on your mirrors and other drivers can still see what you're doing. It's a pretty simple installation too, just wrapping around the mirror with this lip here and clamping onto the edge on the inside. more

Hey guys, this is Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Ford F-150, and we're gonna be taking a look at the K Source Clip-on towing mirrors. Now, when it comes to towing mirrors, the biggest benefit is what we're gonna show you right now. When you're towing a trailer that's long like this, a lot of times you can't see the entire load in your factory mirror or you're focusing your factory mirror on your trailer and you're not able to see much to the next lane, if you need to change lanes, that's where these towing mirrors are gonna come in handy. So you can see me in our factory mirror right now, but if I move what were to be the next lane or two lanes over, you can still see me in our towing mirror and you can't see me anymore in the factory mirror. This is the dangers of not having a set of towing mirrors when you're pulling a load down the highway. more

Especially when you are hauling a trailer, and you're making those wider turns, you're gonna wanna see a little bit more to the sides of you so you can see where your trailer is. So these are gonna be a custom fit, so gonna fit specifically on our Silverado. Something I'd like to note is gonna have these little felt pieces inside. They're gonna be a little thick too, so they're gonna help kind of protect the back of the mirror. more

Hi. Matt with etrailer, and I'm gonna let you guys know what I think of the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I'd recommend a towing mirror, especially a custom fit one, for anyone who's hauling anything that's longer, like a trailer, maybe a boat, or a camper. Having a custom fit one too is gonna really fit onto your mirrors a lot easier than the universal ones, and they're gonna look a lot nicer too. And installing them is pretty easy too. Longview Slip On Driver and Passenger Side Custom Towing Mirrors Review- Video
If you're looking for an easy way to add tow mirrors to your Ram, check these out, these are Longview Slip On Tow Mirrors that we have installed on our Dodge Ram here today, and they literally install and uninstall in seconds. Simply unscrew the knob here, they're gonna clamp on on the front of your factory mirror. And they slip right off. Now, these are gonna fit your standard mirrors, these are the ones that don't flip up, and it's not the tow mirror option, these are just the regular standard mirrors. Now, these have the cutouts for the factory lights that are on your mirror, such as the the turn signals on the outside here and then this cutout for the puddle lamp underneath. But you have the factory blind spot mirror up here, and you can see the size difference on the Longview, you're gonna have a much larger mirror. more

This extendable mirror is going to replace the factory side view mirror on your vehicle. This is a custom fit, so it is going to work for the 2012 through 2021 Nissan NV 1500, 2500, and 3500. Because this is gonna have the same footprint as your Nissan, it's gonna be a very simple installation. It's gonna use the same mounting points so you're not gonna have to do any drilling or anything like that and it will plug into your existing electrical wiring to give you the power remote capability so you can adjust the near face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. more
