Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ram 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CIPA universal fit towing mirror.Here ate the back of the trailer, you can see we have plenty of visibility in our factory mirror. But if we step outside, we lose that visibility in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror. Now this is going to help when changing lanes or passing on a multiple lane highway and also parking in tight spaces.The towing mirror housing is going to be constructed of a durable plastic, similar to the plastic housing that is on your factory towing mirror. The rod itself is going to have a black powder coat finish so it's going to resist corrosion. This mirror's going to offer you a full swivel from side to side and up and down and you can also turn it to extend your view.Another great thing about this mirror is even though you can turn this and extend your view, you can actually extend it even more for a trailer that might be just a little bit wider. If you unscrew this, you can slide this bar out, tighten it down, and it gives you an even wider view.Your two brackets are going to be constructed of a plastic so you're not gonna have to worry about damaging or scarring up your factory housing and then the rubber feet are going to help clamp the mirror down to your factory mirror.Even with these mirrors clamping in between your mirror and your housing, you still have full adjustability of your mirror itself. more

Today on our 2017 Ram 1500 we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Slip-on Custom Towing Mirrors. These are for both the driver and passenger side. Part number of CM11400. Now if you need just the driver's side, that part number is going to be CM11401, and for just the passenger side, the part number is CM11402. Now here's a good look at the field of view difference that we can expect with our towing mirrors verus our factory mirror. You'll notice as I step out of way from the trailer here, which I'm about 15, 16 feet behind the truck. more

Today in our 2017 Ram 1500 we're going to be taking a look at the K Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors. These are snap-on mirrors for both the driver and passenger side. Part number is KS80710. Now we're her in the back of about a 14 foot trailer. We've got it hooked up to the back of the Ram. We just wanted to give you an idea of the field of view difference that you can expect. As you can see, the factory mirror does a pretty good job for a normal everyday kind of situations, but that towing mirror is really going to help out with that trailer when it starts swinging back here behind the vehicle. more

CIPA Dual-View Clip-on Towing Mirror Installation - 2017 Ram 1500- Video

Today on our 2017 Ram 1500, we're going to be doing a test fit on the CIPA dual view clip on towing mirror, part number 11953. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. Between both mirrors, you get the same view, just a closer, more clearer view, and a larger mirror. If I take a few steps in towards my trailers, you can see there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up, but this is the view you'd get with just your factory mirror. Both the larger and the smaller mirror can be adjusted to most angles. more

The mirror itself can be adjusted to most angle. We've got our up and down, diagonal, and side to side. more

It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see I'm visible in the towing mirror but not the factory mirror. If I take a few steps in towards my trailers you can see there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up, but this is the view you'd get with just your factory mirror. The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees, so if you'd like to keep it at that horizontal position for a different view you have that option. more
