CIPA Clip-On Universal Fit Towing Mirrors Installation - 2014 Dodge Ram Pickup

Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com.Today on our 2014 Ram 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror, which are also sold as a pair. Our towing mirror is going to greatly expand our line of sight. That's going to be especially useful whether changing lanes, backing up into a tight parking spot, or just even wanting to take a better look at what's going on behind us.As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror but not in the factory mirror, and that's how much more we're going to be able to see. But if I take a few steps closer to our trailer, I'll become visible on the factory mirror and no longer in the towing mirror. And as a bonus, too, it'll help eliminate those blind spots.I've personally had a lot of experience with many different types of towing mirrors, and one thing I did notice about this one that's different from any of the others, is how clear of a picture we get in our lens. It's a very sharp and high resolution, and that comes in handy when we're trying to notice those small details behind us.Now, one of the many questions our customers ask about towing mirrors in general is if they're going to vibrate or make any noise at high speeds. more

CIPA Passenger Side Towing Mirrors Installation - 2014 Dodge Ram 2500- Video

CIPA Passenger Side Towing Mirrors Installation - 2014 Dodge Ram 2500

Today on our 2014 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 series, we'll be doing a test fit of the CIPA custom towing mirror in the slip-on design for the passenger side, part number CM11402. Now let's begin by going over a couple of things here on our passenger side. The mirror comes with two different wedge pieces; one that's thicker than the other, the thicker one is used on the standard mirrors on the vehicle. The thinner one is used if you have a chrome or cap style mirror. Now our particular vehicle has the standard black mirrors, so we'll be using the thicker one. Now that you've chosen the proper wedge for your particular mirror we'll need to install this neoprene strip. It is a self-adhesive and you'll simply peel the backing off and attach it to the wedge, just like this. Since we are just doing a test fit today, we're not actually going to adhere the neoprene strip to our particular wedge. more
