Now these are used in a lot of different applications, but what we mainly gear these towards here is going to be recovery, towing, things like that. These are great for a tree saver straps to take the two ends, bind them together and then connect to your winch. These are also really good for recovery, putting them into a connection point on your vehicle and then having your strap connected or your recovery rope connected to that. But these can also be used for tie downs on big trailers and stuff like that.Now this is what they call a one inch bow shackle, so we've got a one inch bolt that goes through here. more

Jake: Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to use the Bulldog winch rope shackle. This is going to replace your standard metal shackles, so you don't have to worry about scratching your finish on your side-by-side or on anything that you might be using that you don't want to risk breaking that metal shackle . and it coming back and hitting you.Now the shackle we're using today is going to have the highest weight capacity out of all three of them. This one's going to have a little over 30,000 pounds of workload limit, which is a very, very high workload limit when it comes to these types of shackles.In addition to that workload limit, you're going to have just under 62,000 pounds of a break strength on this shackle .. so, you're going to be able to tow a lot with it before it's going to break.Now, along with this safety factor that comes with these rope shackles, my favorite thing about this is that we're not going to have to hook our metal hook onto the frame of our ranger here. more

This is going to be a galvanized shackle, so that you can use it with either your accessories on your bumper, or with a trap like we have it here, in order to get yourself out of a tight pocket.Right off the bat, there's going to be two different sizes available, the 7/8 inch shackle, that's going to be the diameter of the shackle itself, and the one inch shackle like we have here. You're just going to need to figure out which one's going to suit your needs best. The 7/8 shackle is going to have a 6500 pound weight capacity, and the one inch shackle is going to have an 8500 pound weight capacity.So one of the best uses for a shackle like this is so that you can hook up two straps like we have here, or a single strap that's just larger to the shackle, because our hook is not large enough to be able to fit both of these straps in it, so this is going to give us a very large, universal connection point. So these are going to be a great option, whether you need to winch something out, or just pull something.Because of that galvanized steal construction, it's going to last a long time, and resist rust and corrosion when using it outside in the elements. more

Today we're going to take a quick look at the BulletProof Hitches Shackle Hitch for Two-Inch Receivers.This makes a great recovery shackle for any kind of off-road applications or recovery applications using a nice, oversize shackle so that you can get your rope, cable, or strap easily attached. We'll have a hardened steel threaded pin on the one side so we can unthread that, pull off the shackle, and then put our loop through there, then reattach it and thread that back down.BulletProof Hitches makes a lot of really well-built products. Something I like about this is that it has two holes through either side of our shank so you can use this in either the horizontal position or the vertical position if you flip it up the other way. It makes it more versatile that way and there's also two holes per side so it will have the ability to adjust our distance out from our hitch a little bit.This is going to fit a two-inch by two-inch receiver tube and it is a solid shank minus those two holes there but very sturdy, very well-built. It comes with a hitch-pinning clip to get it attached to your hitch and as far as dimensions, this is going to be, there are the shank portion of it is about 11 and 9-16ths of an inch long or just over 11 and a half inches. The distance from the furthest hitch pin hole to this portion of our shackle so how far out that shackle will go before we can get a rope onto it is about 12 inches. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Screw Pin D Shackle.This is made of a galvanized low carbon steel, so it's going to resist corrosion. And this is going to serve as that connection point between two pieces of rigging equipment so it's going to be great for inline loads or industrial agricultural uses, basically anything where you'd need to connect those two pieces together.Just unthreads, that pin unthreads from the one side of the shackle. It only threads into one side, so there's no threading on the other. That's where the pin will pass through, then it just threads into that thread inside.It's going to allow for really easy, quick connection and disconnection.As far as the dimensions on this, the pin diameter is going to 5/8ths or 16 millimeter. Overall, it's going to measure about three and three quarter inches long. So, you just unthread that pin from the one side, slide it on, or slide this in between those two pieces of equipment, and connect them together.There's only one side that's actually threaded, so keep that in mind, it only goes one way. It will slide through the one side, and thread back in the other. This is made of a durable galvanized low carbon steel. So it's gonna be really useful for industrial or agricultural applications. You just unthread that pin there and you can slide whatever it is you need to connect. Only one side of this is threaded so keep that in mind; it only goes one way.This is made of a galvanized low carbon steel so it's gonna resist corrosion. And as far as the dimensions on this, the pin diameter is gonna be seven sixteenths or 11 millimeters. more
