Folks, this is a two inch by two inch hitch hookup, and this will let you safely bring your vehicle along behind your RV. Folks, it's got a very nice set of self-supporting arms so they're not gonna fall to the ground as you're hooking up. Keep in mind, I've got it mocked up here on a block of wood because obviously, this hitch piece here is not in the hitch, therefore I can't just hold it up. more

So folks, like I just mentioned, this does come with the included Blue Ox or CURT base plate adapters. So I'm gonna zoom in and show you those real quick while we're starting. So you would simply replace the end of the tow bar with these adapters. And they're gonna match up to the CURT or Blue Ox base plates, so you're gonna get all the hardware, all the nylon spacers, new locking nuts, washers, everything you need to adapt those over, so, again, these guys are going in place of this guy right here. more

Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar Installation - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L- Video
Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, we're gonna be checking out the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar. A tow bar is gonna be one of the main components that you're gonna need to set your jeep up whenever you are ready to flat tow it. The other parts will be your base plate, which your tow bar hooks up to, your safety cables, which connect the front of your Jeep to the back of your coach, your tow bar wiring, which sends the lighting signals from the back of your coach to the back of your Jeep, and last but not least, your supplemental braking system, which will apply the brakes in your Grand Cherokee L when you hit the brakes in your motorhome, bringing you to a safe and predictable stop. But with all that said, when it comes to picking out a tow bar, it's gonna be a really important decision because it's responsible for a lot of the work, right You know, being that main link that's keeping everything paired together. So you want something that's not only gonna be easy to use and reliable, but also help pull your vehicle down the road well, you know And that's probably one of the main things a lot of people say about this particular one is that it's going to help the vehicle track a lot better than some of the other tow bars. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Sterling All-Terrain Tow Bar. So not only are you gonna get a lot of the components for your flat tow system with this tow bar, you get this channel in here to run everything nice and tidy, it keeps all your cables just a lot cleaner. If you didn't have cable management like we have here on our Sterling, you would have your umbilical running across here as well as your safety cables, and keeping it in the arms of the tow bar is really nice because it's right there when you need it to hook up, and also when you stow your tow bar also, it's gonna keep everything nice and tidy. It's just one less thing that you'll have to wrestle around with every time you hook up your vehicle. Now, a few things that make this a great option for a lot of different people is gonna be the weight capacity. It's rated at 8,000 pounds, so today, we have it hooked up to a Jeep Wrangler, no problem for towing that down the road. more

Now there's five main components that are required for flat towing any vehicle, and we'll break those down. The first one is gonna be the base plate, and that's gonna structurally mount to the frame of the vehicle, and create a mounting point not only for your tow bar, but the rest of the components. So our tow bar is going to be the connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. And also going from the base plate to the hitch is gonna be our safety cable. Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you some of the features on the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar. Now, right off the bat, some of the features that are gonna separate the Nighthawk from a lot of other tow bars out there is one being that it has LED strip lights here on the side of the tow bar to let others know that you are in fact connected to a vehicle so that when they're trying to change lanes at night, that they hopefully will see the tow bar lit up in between the vehicle and the coach and they don't just think that it's a vehicle following close behind you. The other thing it's gonna have, it'll have the wiring run through the tow bar, as well as these safety chain loops on both sides. This is going to be a non-binding tow bar, which if you don't know what that is, it means that when these bars are locked out in the travel position, which they are right now, if you ever get to where you're going and there's a bind up in this pin and you can't get the pin pulled, what you'll do is you'll take this lever, flip it up, that's going to unlock the bar so that you can loosen up this pin and get it out and get it unhooked from your vehicle. The Nighthawk is gonna have a max weight capacity of 8,000 pounds, which is really, really good for the Jeep since the Jeep is not even close to that weight capacity. more

Now, there's five main components required when flat towing a vehicle, and starting on the vehicle side, the first thing is gonna be the base plate, and that's gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle or a structural part of the vehicle that's gonna allow you to attach the rest of the components, and safely tow it down the road. Now connected to the arms on our base plate is gonna be our tow bar, and this is the connection point between the hitch on the RV and the towed vehicle. On our base plate, we also have these loops for safety chains, which is gonna be one of the components. So in case of a disconnect, you still have those chains holding onto the towed vehicle. We also have a supplemental braking system, which is gonna slow and stop the vehicle while going down the road as you apply the brakes on the RV. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar on a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. Now there's five main components that are required when flat towing the vehicle, and the first one is gonna be the base plate. So a tow bar is one of the five main components that you're gonna need to set up your Jeep to flat tow down the road. Tow bar's gonna connect to the base plate, which is the attachment point there, and you'll also have safety cables, which will keep everything connected. In the event of an unlikely disconnect, you'll have your tow bar wiring, which will send the lighting functions from the back of your RV in the back of your Jeep.
