Hopkins Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2012 Honda Fit- Video
Today on our 2012 Honda Fit, we're going to be installing the Hopkins Custom Taillight Wiring Kit for towed vehicles, part number HM56302. To begin with, we're going to go ahead and raise the rear hatch of the vehicle, and then we're going to need to open up the access panel, there's one on each side, to gain access to the taillight wiring. Once we have those removed, we can go ahead and lift up the spare tire cover here. We're going to need to remove the rear threshold of the vehicle. To do that, you can take either a trim panel removal tool, or large flat head screwdriver, slide it under the threshold and gently work the threshold upward, releasing the tabs. Once you have the threshold removed, you can go ahead and set that aside for now. Next, we're going to need to take the connectors that have the green and red wires as part of their bundle as well as this is the connectors that have the longer section of wire attached to them. We're going to need to feed them down through the access panel here on the driver's side and come out the bottom. more
