And, that's because the CR-V requires you to pull the fuse out whenever you want to flat tow it. And, that's kind of a pain. more

So before we take a closer look at the diode kit itself, I figured it'd be useful just to kind of touch base and refresh ourselves on the five main components that we're going to need to flat tow our Honda down the road in the first place. So there's going to be a total of five main components needed to flat tow your Honda down the road safely. First one's going to be your base plate. Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Honda CRV we're going to be installing Road Master's Fuse Master Fuse Bypass Switch, part number RM76512. This fuse bypass kit is going to make a quick and easy way for us to be able to haul our CRV behind our motor home. To get it into flat tow mode you have to remove two fuses from the dash every time you set it up. So rather than having to physically pull those out, we can install this quick fuse bypass so with the flick of a button the fuses are disconnected and it's ready to go into tow mode. Quick, easy, and less labor.You can mount your switch wherever you'd like. Once you've got it in, you can quickly change it with the change of a button turning it on or off. more

Speaker 1: But in our 2012 Honda CRV, we're gonna be installing road masters, universal, high powered diode wiring kit. Part number RM-152. And in conjunction with this, we'll be road masters seven wire to six wire flex-o coil kit, part number RM-146-7. This diode kit is gonna allow you transfer all of your signals from your motor home back to your vehicle while you're pulling it. So this way when you go left turn on your motor home, you show a left turn back here, so everyone behind you, knows what you're intending.The diode's installed right into your factory of lighting and they provide a pipeline for that signal to go here but also protected from going to the rest of your vehicle. The diode acts as a one way check valve that will only allow the current to travel in one direction, towards the bulb, not towards the rest of the vehicle.Now there are many options out there to get your lighting signals back here on your vehicle. more

This diode kit's going to allow you to transfer all of your signals from your motorhome back to your vehicle, while you're pulling it. This way, when you go left turn on your motorhome, you show left turn back here, so everybody behind you knows what you're intending. The diodes install right into your factory lighting, and they provide a pipeline for that signal to go here, but also protect it from going to the rest of your vehicle.
