Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster smart diode wiring kit here on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. So a wiring kit is gonna be one of the components that we need to successfully flat tow our vehicle here. Now, the wiring is simply gonna transmit these signals from the motor home to our towed vehicle here. That way, we can let other motorists on the road know what signals we're gonna be making, allowing us to arrive to our destination safe and sound. Most cases, the vehicle is gonna block the taillights on the motor home. more

Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part number RM-154.This is what our diode kit is going to look like when we get. We're going to get a little bit of wire loom, zip ties. This is going to be the tether that goes between your vehicle and your RV. You're going to get your diodes, and you're going to get 30 foot of wire.Let's start with your 30 foot of wire. If your RV does not have a 7-pull plug or current wiring, what you're going to do is, you're going to take about 3 foot of this, you're going to cut it off and this section that you cut off is going to be wired into your RV. That's where the tether comes in. more

Speaker 1: Today, in this 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit, the part number RM-15267. Here's what our diodes look like installed. First thing you'll notice is that our diodes are utilized our factory LED lights on our vehicle. There's no additional bulbs to add, no magnetic tow lights we have to stick on our vehicle and worry about scratching our paint. These are going to give us the basic lighting functions that are required by law in order for us to safely and legally tow our Equinox behind our motor home. We'll have our taillights, our brake lights, our turn signals. more

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's tail light wiring kit for towed vehicles, part number RM-152-LED. And in conjunction with this, we're also going to be using Roadmaster's seven wire to six wire straight cord kit, part number RM-98146-7. This lighting kit is going to allow you to transfer those signals from inside your RV back to the vehicle that you're flat towing behind you. You'll have all the necessary lightings, which includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps. Since these bulbs are separate, we don't have to tap into the vehicle's wiring system, so you don't have to worry about voiding that wiring warrantee. The wiring from your tail lights is run up your front 6-pole connector on your vehicle, which then connects to the 7-pole on your RV. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install, the Roadmaster taillight wiring kit with bulbs, part number RM-155. So here's what our wiring is going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to provide us with a four pole flat to give us all of our lights when we're flat towing our Equinox down the road. It's going to give us our turn signals for the left and right, the brake lights, as well as our taillights. It's going to completely bypass our vehicle's wiring system, so we're not going to have worry about voiding out the manufacturer's warranty. It's going to be a completely standalone system that's going to wire from the front. more
