We have a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71, so that's gonna be the 4x4 package. So we have a motor coach here that has air brakes on it, and we're gonna take a look, quick overview, of some of the components that's required to get it, this Chevy, to flat tow behind the coach. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System for towed vehicles on a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. There's five main components when flat towing a vehicle that are gonna be required on your Silverado to get it down the road. And the first one is gonna be your base plate that's gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle creating a mounting point not only for some of your other components, but your tow bar. And your tow bar is the connection point between that base plate and the hitch on the RV. Now going along with that, we have our safety chains and these are going to make sure in case of a less than likely but potential of a disconnect, these are gonna keep everything still attached. And you also have a breakaway switch, which is part of your braking system, which is also a component which brings the vehicle to slow and stop when you apply the brakes on the RV and the breakaway switch as if this was to pull, in case of a catastrophic disconnect, it's going to apply the brakes on the vehicle, bringing it to a slow and stop. more
