Blue Ox Patriot Proportional Braking System Installation - 2007 Chevrolet HHR- Video
Today on our 2007 Chevrolet HHR we'll be installing a Blue Ox Patriot radio frequency portable braking system, part number BRK2012. This is a truly proportional unit. What that means is it'll slow down in conjunction with the motorhome in a direct relationship, so if you slow down for a little bit of pressure in the motorhome, the car will slow down with a little bit of pressure too. Now, we can adjust the level of braking intensity with our unit off this knob here, so if you want to have more aggressive brakes you can turn the knob all the way up to nine. That'll be the most pressure. If you don't want to have a lot of pressure, you could turn it down all the way to zero. Right in the middle, though, at five is a great place to start with, especially with this vehicle.
