Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar on a 2018 Ford Explorer. Now, there's five main components when flat towing your Explorer that are gonna be required. Now, the first one is gonna be the base plate, which is gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle, creating a nice structural support for your tow bar to be able to connect from your base plate to the hitch on the RV. Now, going along with that, we have our safety chains, and that's just in case of an accidental disconnect. It's still gonna keep everything attached, and the mounting points are already on the base plate for you. You also have your diode wiring, which is gonna transmit light signals from the RV to the taillights on the towed vehicle. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2018 Ford Explorer, we're going to be taking a look at the Blue Ox Ascent Tow Bar.So there's going to be a total of five main components needed to flat tow your Explorer down the road. The first one's going to be your base plate and the base plate is going to provide us with a solid and reliable connection point, that way we can hook up our tow bar to it. The tow bar is going to be that second component. That's actually going to be the physical link that connects the front of your Explorer to the back of your motor home.
