This little box is able to measure your tongue and pin weight, as well as the payload in the back of your truck, the total weight of your vehicle and whenever you're hauling, as well as providing additional information for setting up your weight distribution system and setting your trailer brakes on your brake controller. And it's able to calculate all this information using the complex measuring devices inside such as accelerometers and inertia sensors, as well as information from your vehicle. You can see here we've got larger tires, it's lifted, there's been a lot done to this truck, but you'll see that our HaulGauge here is still going to be able to calculate everything just fine once we calibrate it to this suspension setup.We'll begin by taking our HaulGauge and plugging it into the OBD II port on your vehicle. It's typically located under the dash on the driver's side, and we've got ours right down here. So it just plugs right in. Hi there heavy haulers, today we're going to be testing out the haul gauge and comparing it with other scales. All in all, what we found out about the haul gauge today is that it makes a great tongue weight scale comparable to the big names out there, coming in very accurate. But when it comes to measuring the total weight of the truck and the trailer and what you're hauling, it gives you a good rough estimate, but it seems to miss the mark just a little bit, but it's good enough to give you a good idea before you get to that scale of how close you're going to weigh in.The haul gauge is really going to be your all-in-one weighing component for your truck trailer payload, anything you're planning on doing. This will help keep you safe by ensuring that you've got the proper tongue weight on the back of your vehicle, it'll ensure that you're legal as well, because you can check the weight of both your truck and trailer. This is going to be great, especially for you guys out there that maybe you have small businesses and you have to haul some product. If you're hauling any products for a business, you have to weigh in at those stations, you can be for sure that you're not going to overweigh before you get there.You can check your pin weight if you've got a gooseneck trailer, set up your weight distribution system, as well as check your payload if you're loading up the back of the truck. more
