Titan Chain Diamond Alloy Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2014 Volkswagen Passat

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Volkswagen Passat, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC1547. The tire size we're going to be working with is 215/55 R17. What I really love about these tire chains is that they're very quick and easy to install, thanks to our color-coded system right here. They're also self-tensioning, meaning we don't have to purchase any extra rubber tensioner to make sure that the chains stay snug against our tire. It's all going to be contained right in here. These chains have a diamond pattern to them, rather than a ladder one, so that's going to give you more coverage around your tire, and provide better traction while you're driving. Our small square links are going to dig into that snow and ice, and give us great traction during starts, stops, and turns. more

Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2014 Volkswagen Passat- Video

Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2014 Volkswagen Passat

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Volkswagen Passat, we're going to be test fitting the Glacier alloy square-link snow-tire chains, part number PWPLC1138. The tire size we're going to be working with, is 215/55R17.The chain is made up of case-hardened square links, which is going to make it really good for grip and traction while you're driving in the snow. The square-link design is going to be good for digging into the snow, and give you better grip during travel. The ladder-pattern design is really good for starts and stops while you're traveling. The first thing you want to do when installing these is get them out of the container, and lay them out flat, like this, and try to make sure there's no breaks in the chains, no tangles, or anything of that nature. Make sure it's straight and ready for installation. The last thing you want to do before we install these is make sure that this hook is on the outside, so that when you cover your tires with the chain, it's going to be on the outside of your tire when you hook the chains together. So, first we're going to grab from the middle of the tire chains. I want to take it, I'm going to drape it over the top of our tire. more
