Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma, we're gonna be test fitting the Titan Chain heavy duty, alloy snow tire chains, part number TC2221SHD. These are heavy duty chains designed for this heavier snow and ice areas. So this is not something like with the rollers or with the smaller D links that you usually see. That's for your light snow situations. So these are our square link with ladder pattern design. Now the ladder patterns gonna help out with more effective starts and stops in heavy snow and ice and the lengths here are gonna give you superior grip in the ice while you drive as well and with the square links, while they will wear evenly over time, they'll also give you maybe not the smoothest of rides, but a much smoother ride than other style chains, such as twist lengths. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be test fitting the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains with Cams, part number TC2221SCAM.These tough and durable chains have a square link design, and a ladder pattern to them. The ladder pattern means it's going to help with effective starts and stop in the inclement weather, and with the square link design here, that's going to give you good traction in the snow, and superior grip on the ice as you drive too, so that means you're going to using these in areas with snow and ice that happens on more of a regular occasion, as opposed to the rollers, which is more of a temporary use.These are also made from a manganese nickel alloy, which is going to be corrosion resistant, so these are going to last, and survive the test of time. But that also means they're going to be strong and durable. And with the square link design, that means that they're going to wear a little bit more evenly over time, compared to the twist link design that you may have. This also has cam tighteners, as well as the tool to tighten them down, and this is going to take the tension up around the tire, to keep the chains taut against the tire. These tire chains come in a diamond pattern with a small link design here. And this is really going to help you out with those light snow and ice situations. Give you better stopping and starting power but also has greater tire coverage with the diamond shape and a much smoother ride because of the small links.These chains come with their own self tensioning system which is going to eliminate the need for after market rubber tensioner and they are very easy to install. It's pretty much color coded where things need to go, And, instead of having to go behind the tire to make your connections, or anything like that, everything is done out on the front and wrapped around very easy.Now as you can see it's not going to make any contact with anything around the tire or interfere with any cables or anything like that. These are SAE Class S chains which means they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, but as you can see, it's not going to be an issue here. more

These Glacier roller snow tire chains are pretty much designed for the occasional use. You're talking about areas that don't get a lot of heavy snow and ice, but, more like light snow, but, can still make for an unpleasant commute home.They're very easy to install. They're made from a low carbon steel, so they're very tough and durable, but, not as tough as the link design chains you see with other models.The rollers work very well to give you excellent traction in light snow and the ladder pattern makes effective starts and stops a lot easier in those light snow situations. As with the rollers and ladder pattern design, it's also gonna help out with a smoother ride while you travel in these conditions as well.These chains will meet all Department of Transportation regulations in all states and they can work with other front or wheel drive Toyota Tacomas and incoming on to the inside of the tire, you can see it's not gonna interfere with anything, and it's not even really remotely close to anything on the backside of the tire either.Today we're working with tire size 24575R16. If you put these chains on, and they don't fit properly, just double check the size and go to our website and find the proper fit.I went ahead and laid the chains out in front of the tire like you see here to make sure there's no kinks in the lines or anything before we install them and also to make sure it's gonna go on the right side. more
