It has its own self-tensioning system, as well, so you don't have to deal with figuring out the best tension with a bunch of different tensioners. It is also one of your more premium snow tire chains, so it does come with some extra features, just to make your trip that much safer. This has a diamond pattern and what that means is it is shaped in a diamond which covers a bit more of your tire compared to maybe your traditional ladder style chains. That allows you to have quick turns and stops. more

I just did a whole bunch of tire chains for our Toyota Highlander, and you may be looking at the list of the different tire chains. You have different types, you have flatter style, you have cable, you have diamond pattern tire chains. And the question is, which one is best for you First and foremost, if you notice here, all the three different types of tire chains I have here are diamond pattern style, that's just because for the ladder style and the cable style, higher chance, I'm not a big fan, especially for our ladder style options because we do have limited clearance here on our Toyota Highlander. more

These tire chains are a good option if you are looking something that is affordable, great to keep in your trunk for emergencies, and come with their own tightening or tensioning system. These work really well in deep snow, and they provide an adequate amount of traction for your ice. So if you do have more extreme weather conditioners, I recommend getting this type of tire chain with the V-Bar studs. But if you have about average extreme weather conditions, like ice and a little bit of snow, then these will work great for you.These are the twist link ladder style chains, which means we have your traditional ladder style pattern. So this works well with sudden starts and stops. more

This snow tire chain is a great option if you are looking for that extra grip or that extra traction on the road. If you have a lot of ice, or if you have a lot of deep snow, then this comes with these V-Bar studs that really grip into the ice and give you that traction you need so that you can drive safely. This does not come with its own tensioner. You can also pick up these separate tensioners if you feel like you do not have the best fit on your wheel. This was relatively easy to install with just one, two connections, although you do need to reach behind there to connect the other end of your snow tire chain.So let's take a look at the links themselves. more

Hello, everyone. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're going to take a look at the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains on our 2021 Toyota Highlander. So as you can see, this is a diamond pattern styled tire chain, and what that is going to do is it's going to aid with turning in snow or on ice and this is going to add a little bit of extra traction, even though the links are a little bit on the smaller side. So these do have a manganese nickel alloy construction, and you can also see here that the links that are going around the outside of our wheel are coated in a nice finish. And that's just going to help with protection against your rims if you we're to be driving in that deeper snow conditions. more
