Titan Alloy Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2015 Lincoln MKX- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2015 Lincoln MKX, we're going to be test fitting the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Sire Chains, part number TC2317. These are great strong, durable tire chains, but before we even get started, you need to figure out exactly what these are going to be used for.These chains are primarily used for situations where you encounter snow and ice regularly, as opposed to the roller style, which that's for the light snow situations. This one has these square links here, the form cross chains that are actually going to cut in to the snow and ice and provide better starting and stopping power once you get there. Plus, because they do have a diamond pattern on them, that means greater coverage around the tire.These are made from a durable manganese nickel alloy, and these are considered SAE Class S chains, meaning they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance and can work with either front or rear wheel drive vehicles as well. Once installed, they have a max speed rating of 30 MPH, and they do come in a quantity of two.Another nice feature about this, is the self-tensioning system here, which puts it a step above the tire chains that require the rubber adjusters, which are sold separately. Also, when you're finished using the chains and they're dried off, it does come with a convenient carrying bag, so they can be ready for next time.Today we're working with tire size 224/60-18. more
