Titan Cable Snow Tire Chain Installation - 2017 Hyundai Elantra

Today on our 2017 Hyundai Elantra, we'll be looking at the Titan Chain cable snow tire chains, part number TC1034. Keep in mind that this is being used with tire size 205-55-16. The cable style tire chains are made out of a low carbon steel construction, so they're strong and durable, and they're going to provide great traction in light snow. The ladder pattern is going to assist with effective starts and stops and these chains are SAE class S rated for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. The low profile design of our tire chains gives an overall smooth ride and the tire chains come with a reusable storage bag for when you aren't using your storage chains. The Titan Chain tire chains have a maximum speed rating of 30 miles per hour and come in a quantity of two. They're quick and easy to install, we'll show you how to do that now. I've gone ahead and laid out our chains just to make sure there aren't any kinks or breaks in the lines. more

Today on our 2017 Hyundai Elantra, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC1540. So here's what our chains look like when they're fully installed. And these are gonna give us that extra traction whether we're driving on ice or snow. It's gonna feature square links that are in a diamond pattern shape to give more tire coverage, and get that extra traction. Our links are gonna be smaller than most square link chains, and since they form that diamond pattern, they're gonna give us adequate traction, but also a smooth ride. It's gonna feature a built-in tensioner, which is gonna help the fit of our chains, and make sure we have a nice, secure fit. Our chains are SAE Class S chains, which means they're gonna work well and designed to work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. Our chains are gonna have a maximum speed rating of 30 miles an hour, and they do come in a pair. They also come with a reusable storage tote, so we can keep it in our trunk, and we'll have that extra traction whenever we need it. Today on our 2017 Hyundai Elantra, we're going to be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1034. These chains are great for the occasional use. They have these cables here that have these case hardened low carbon steel rollers on them with a ladder pattern, so it makes them good for uses with light snow and makes starts and stops more effective as you drive. These are SAE class S chains, which means they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. These do comply with all the Department of Transportation regulations, and these can work with either front or rear wheel drive vehicles. Today we're going to be working with tire size 205/55-R16. Now if these chains don't fit your tire, double check the tire size and then go to our fit guide to find the proper fit. Before we place the tire chain onto the tire, I'm going to lay it out on the ground as you can see here and this is to make sure there's no kinks in the lines before I put it on. more

Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2017 Hyundai Elantra

Today on our 2017 Hyundai Elantra, we're going to be test fitting the Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains, Part Number PWPLC1134. These chains are made from a case-hardened steel, which give you excellent grip and traction while you're driving on snowy or icy conditions. These are SAE Class S chains, which means they work well with vehicles with limited wheel-well clearance. These will work on front or rear-wheel drive vehicles, they install very quickly and easily and these are meant for highway use and not for off-road applications. When you're finished driving, it does come with a carrier case that you can place the chains in so they're ready for the next time. Before we place the chains onto the tire we went ahead and laid them out on the ground, as you can see here, to make sure there's no kinks in the lines. Once you're sure of that, we'll take the chains, drape them over the tire and start making our connections. Today we're going to be working with tire size 205/55-R16. You see how the links are wrapping around each other at this point You want to make sure that this end is facing away from the tire. more
