Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2005 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2005 Ford Escape, we'll be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Chains, part number PW2029C. This kit will come in a set for both the driver and passenger side, and will work for either two or four wheel drive vehicles. Starting on the ground, we've gone ahead and laid out our tire chain. We have the cross sections that will connect the outer cables. Where the cross section meets the outer cable, we'll make sure that the hook of the cross section will face away from the tire. Its smooth surface will go against the sidewall of the tire, so it doesn't dig in and damage the tire. As we've got it laid out here, we'll also go ahead and note that this is a directional chain. It does matter in which direction it's going to move primarily, which will be forward. Now we'll go ahead and put our chain in place. more

This kit will come in a set for both the driver and passenger side, and will work for either 2- or 4-wheel drive vehicles. Starting on the ground, we've gone ahead and laid out our tire chain. We have the cross-sections that will connect the outer cables. We'll make sure that the hook of the cross-section will face away from the tire, and its smooth surface will go against the sidewall of the tire so it doesn't dig in and damage the tire. Now we'll go ahead and put our chain in place. We'll take the chain, lay it up over the tire, and bring the bottom ends down and around the tire. As we put it in place, we'll make it's evenly spaced, inside to outside, so that the outside cables hang evenly on the sidewall. more
