Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2014 BMW X3- Video

Today on our 2013 BMW X3, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Glacier cable snow tire chains part number PW1042. Keep in mind that this is being used with tire size 245/45/R19. The Glacier cable snow tire chains are perfect for the occasional use and are constructed of a case hardened, low carbon steel with spring rollers that wrap around sturdy wire cross chains. These are SAE Class S rated for passenger vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. These chains are a low profile design to give an overall smooth ride and they meet the Department of Transportation requirements in all 50 states. Now that we've gone over some features, we'll share how to get these installed. I've gone ahead and laid them out just to make sure there aren't any kinks or breaks in the lines. We're going to be placing these on our rear tires because this is rear wheel drive vehicle. We'll start by taking our chains and just draping them over our tire, making sure that they sit evenly from front to back and side to side. more
