Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Series Crew Cab pick up we're going to be test fitting the Whispbar Locking Ski and Snow Board Rooftop Carrier. That's going to be part number WB-300. We have our Yakima Roof Rack system in place already, as well as the rear half of this carrier. I'm going to go ahead and show you how to install the front carrier. You're going to want to place the carrier on top of the load bar so that the straps are able to go underneath. You're also going to want to make sure that the front and rear carrier are in line. This carrier does have a capacity of six skis or four snow boards. Once that clasp is in place we just want to lift this lever here, loosening it a little bit, which is going to raise this grey tab underneath here. more

Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima FatCat 6, a locking rooftop ski and snowboard carrier with a 6-ski or 4-board capacity. Its part number is Y03088. With our Yakima Q Towers roof rack system already installed on the Silverado, we'll begin our test fit by placing the front half of our carrier onto our front crossbar. We'll bring both black rubber-coated metal straps around the underside of our crossbar, and we'll fit the one closest to us here into the foot of the carrier. We're then going to open the top jaw of the carrier, lift up on the black lever located inside. We'll now cam our buckle closed, tighten down that lever slightly, and push it back down into position. more
