Now this is gonna be a great option for you if you're trying to go out on a bike ride and you wanna put your more light duty bikes on top of your roof, or in some cases, you can put this on a ladder rack or a bed rack if you have one of those. We just have a roof rack today, but it's gonna be the same either way, so let's check it out. With it on your roof, this is probably gonna be the highest it's gonna sit on top of our vehicle and it is gonna be really hard to reach. You have a low profile rack and you also have the torque right knob that prevents over tightening of your bike skewers. It's simply a matter of loading it onto your roof, tightening it down, driving to your destination, and then when you get there, take the bike off as is. Compared to fork-mounted racks like the HighSpeed, this is gonna be helpful, 'cause you'll get out onto the trails that much faster. So for your Seltos, if you're planning on carrying around bikes, but maybe you don't have a hitch yet, so you can't carry a bike rack on your hitch receiver, or you have a roof rack and you're just looking for something that's gonna work with that roof rack you already have, well, the Yakima HighSpeed is gonna be a fork-mounted rack that I recommend looking into. Because it's a fork-mounted rack, you do have to find an alternate location for your front wheel. Fortunately, that can be stored in the hatch very easily. I recommend the HighSpeed if you maybe struggle with lifting your bike super duper high up because this brings the bike a little bit closer to the roof and you don't have to lift as high as the HighRoad, which is the wheel-on version of this rack. Another reason you might be interested in the HighSpeed is because you can add locks to this rack. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer and today we have the Rhino-Rack XTray Pro and we're gonna take a look at how this roof basket fits on our 2023 Kia Seltos. So the X-Ray Pro is gonna be your larger roof basket, which means you can carry more cargo, but it also has two through axle skewers. So if you also wanna carry around your bikes, you can do so, but depending on your through axle, you may need to get extra parts sold separately in order to fit this specific basket. What we're gonna focus on though is does it fit this specific vehicle So on our Seltos, look at how nicely it fits on our roof. With the dimensions of our basket, the width is gonna be very important and you can see that with the rails on each side, it almost fits flush to those rails, creating all that cargo space without looking too bulky. Now with your roof rack, that might change things up a bit. more

Yakima HighSpeed Roof Bike Rack Review - 2021 Kia K5- Video

How's it going, everyone Today, we are going to be taking a look at the Yakima HighSpeed Roof Bike Rack, we're gonna see how it fits on our 2021 Kia K5. This will be a great option for you if you don't mind removing the front tire of your bike, so that we can use the forks to mount it to the rack. You also do need a roof rack system in order to get this up on your roof, but it is a great option in the event that you don't have a hitch, maybe your hitch is already occupied or you're towing something, so we can take a closer look at how it works. Like I mentioned, here we have the fork mount, so right now it's working with our nine millimeter quick release, but it will also work with a variety of thru-axles, just make sure you check the product page at etrailer.com to get the right axle or fit for your bike size. In this case, we do also have this torque lever or knob here that we can tighten up, and it will make a sound, an audible click, once it gets to the desired torque, that's how you know that it is where you need it to be, and we have this up here, which we can replace with a metal lock core if we want to to secure it. Up to that point, you won't be able to release the bike from the rack. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at how the Piston SR Roof-Mounted Bike Rack fits on the 2021 Volkswagen Jetta. So for your Volkswagen Jetta, it is a really nice car, especially this one, because you have that GLI and you're sporty, but your options for carrying around a bike is limited, unless you have a hitch receiver. So if you don't have a hitch receiver, then your options are a trunk mount or a roof-mounted bike rack. If possible, please get a roof-mounted bike rack instead of a trunk mount, just because it's not a hassle, it doesn't take up your trunk area, and you're not dealing with straps and hooks in contact with your vehicle. Now, this is the Piston SR, which is definitely the more premium of your roof-mounted bike racks. So a quick overview of roof-mounted bike racks is most of them require that you take the front wheel off, so they're fork-mounted bike racks, and those are cool too, but then you do take up more time having to reinstall your front wheel once you're ready to hit the trails. more

How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Piston SR Rooftop Bike Rack on our 2022 GMC Sierra. So this is the type of bike rack you might wanna use if your bed is full, or if you have some sort of crossbar set up and you don't wanna use them in the back and you already have something in your hitch, it's a good way to get a bike to where you're going and still have room for other things. This roof rack holds onto your bike by two wheel mounts, a dual wheel mount on either tire, which is nice because we have a carbon frame bike here, and it doesn't make any contact with the frame of the bike itself which could potentially damage the frame. Additionally, this does support a weight of up to 67 pounds, so if you have a larger bike or an e-bike you could actually transport it on your roof. That being said, getting it on and off the roof on a taller vehicle like this has already proved to be a challenge with a lighter bike. more

I highly recommend, if you can, getting a hitch receiver than getting a hitch-mounted biker rack but that can't always be the case for you. In that case, you may want either a trunk mounted bike rack, or a roof mounted bike rack. Trunk mounts, you lose access to your trunk. Roof mounts, it's a lot easier to use, it's more streamlined and you can leave it on your car. more

So depending on your bikes, you may be interested in the Talon MAX, which has the different adapters for your different thru-axles. How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack on our 2022 Toyota RAV4. This is gonna be a good option to get a bike, in this case up to 45 pounds where you need it to go, in the event that maybe you don't have a hitch or you're towing something already, or, you know, you just don't wanna add space to the back of your vehicle, this is a great way to get it on top of the roof and get it to where it's gotta go. This bike rack holds onto our bike by the front tire using these two hoops, rather than making you take the front tire off, which is nice. This could be a good option for you if you're just trying to get one bike rack where you need it to go, but maybe you have something in your trailer already, or your bed's too full to use a tailgate pad, and this could be a good option if you have a roof rack system. It doesn't take up a ton of space on the bars so this could be a good option for you if that's your situation. This bike rack is nice because it doesn't make any frame contact with your actual bike, so if you we're using a carbon frame bike or an alternative frame, it would still work fine for that. The weight capacity is 45 pounds, and it does accommodate a wheelbase of up to 48 inches, so as long as your bike falls within those parameters. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at how the Yakima HighSpeed Roof Mounted Bike Rack fits on the 2019 Nissan Sentra. So for your Nissan Sentra, if you wanna carry your own bikes, your options are limited, especially if you don't have a hitch receiver. You can get your trunk mounted bike rack, but then you lose access to your trunk and you have to deal with straps and clamps and things like that. If possible, and if you have a roof rack system, then I highly recommend getting a roof mounted bike rack as an option. Here, you have two different options, you can get like a wheel mounted bike rack or a fork mounted bike rack. So this has a 40 pound weight capacity, although you are gonna have to consider if you wanna lift a 40 pound bike up onto your roof. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at how the Yakima HighRoad Roof Mounted Bike Rack fits on the 2019 Nissan Sentra. So for your Nissan Sentra, if you want to also go riding, you have limited options for getting a bike onto your car. Now, you can get a hitch receiver and then use hitch mounted bike racks, I highly recommend that option, but if you don't have a hitch, you're then stuck to either a trunk mounted bike rack or a roof mounted bike rack. In that case, I do recommend getting a roof mounted bike rack just because it's not that big of a hassle and it's safe and secure up top. So for roof mounted bike racks, there's usually two options, one is gonna be a fork mounted where you have to take your front wheel off, the other is wheel mount where you can keep your bike as is, just pop it on there. So this has a very interesting way of holding onto your bike, you have that front hold up there, then, you make your adjustments with this back one. more

Yakima Roof Bike Racks Review - 2019 Ram 1500- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima HighSpeedhigh Roof-Mounted Bike Rack, here on our 2019 Ram 1500. Now clearly, we don't have this on the roof, but with our truck, we have a variety of different options for crossbars over the bed. We've got ours mounted onto the tracks of a tonneau cover here, so we've got that above bed storage. This is perfect for things like a bike rack, 'cause you don't have to reach up nearly as high for the roof of your truck or on the ladder rack of your truck. Now the HighSpeed here is going to be a fork-mounted bike carrier, which means we've got the front wheel off, and it's held in at this clamp front.
