A cargo basket is going to give you ability to carry bigger, bulkier items that you wouldn't necessarily want on the inside so let's take a closer look at it. Our Curt Basket has a included fairing that's gonna help reduce the wind noise, you're gonna experience from your cargo basket, as well as giving you these nice sturdy tie down points if you're using cable ties or anything else. It is powder coated steel, so it's gonna be nice and sturdy, and that powder coating is pretty thick, so I feel very confident that it's gonna hold up for a while. You have padded brackets and a U-bolt style to fasten around your bars. The crossbar that we're using here are the NO Arrow Bars, and these guys are gonna work with just about every style across bar out there, factory bars, square, round, and elliptical so you wouldn't have much problems with compatibility. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima Skinny Warrior Rooftop Cargo Basket on our 2022 Nissan Armada. What the Skinny Warrior does for you, kind of how the name suggests, it's a more narrow basket and by design it's meant to give you some cargo area on top of your roof while not taking up the entire width of your crossbar. So you still have space open for a kayak carrier, bike rack, or any rooftop accessory, maybe even a tent, that could fit into that space. As you can see with the hatch open, you have plenty of space and no hazard of bumping into your hatch in the open position. It kind of cuts off in the further position right here at your rails. If you go with a crossbar set like the handle that we have installed, it doesn't use a fixed point, so you can make adjustments forward or backwards to accommodate whatever type of load you have in your basket. more

We're gonna have 165 pound weight capacity and we'll be able to put some pretty long items in here and we'll have this front flange that's gonna help it be more aerodynamic. Now, if the case ever arises that you need a little bit more space, you can actually remove this flange and put things past this point too. If you're looking for a way to expand your cargo space, maybe you have a big trip planned and not everything's gonna fit inside your Ford Escape, or maybe you want to carry around the gear for the other accessories you're carrying on your roof, that's where the Yakima SkinnyWarrior can come in handy. It's gonna be a skinny roof basket with dimensions of 58 inches long by 23 inches wide, so if you needed to carry other things, like a kayak, or a roof-mounted bike rack, you can do so while still having that extra cargo space. This is how much space you have left over for those other accessories. Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talk about the Yakima SkinnyWarrior on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. Now this is gonna be a great option if you really wanna save space on the other side of your vehicle for any other accessories like bike racks or kayak carriers, for anything else that mounts up top. So that's gonna be really nice if you wanna haul a lot of longer items, like two-by-fours or you maybe have golf clubs that kind of sit up there, it's gonna be a really good spot for those to fit. And as you can see up here, our carrier's only gonna take up less than half our total crossbar, and my crossbar is about 50 inches long, so that's very nice if you need to put on any additional accessories up top. And over here, where the total height is gonna add to our system, it's gonna add just about seven inches. So that's something to be mindful if it's unloaded and you're going in to any low clearance areas, you wanna fit in like a garage. more

Now this is gonna be a great option if you can't really fit any more stuff inside the back of your vehicle or you just don't want to just 'cause maybe it's a little bit dirtier, maybe has sand, water, snow on it, then you'll be able to store that up top so it's kind of away from everything else. Our carrier's gonna be made of steel, and it's gonna have a black powder coat finish to it. So since it's made of steel it's gonna be very durable, and it's gonna make for a lot of great hook ons points even from these thinner rungs. But since it is made of steel, anywhere that like it's kind of gets scratched and that black powder coat finish comes off that's gonna make it more susceptible to corrosion. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima SkinnyWarrior on top of the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The SkinnyWarrior is gonna be great if you ran out of storage in your back or if you're hauling anything that's larger or dirty. The Yakima SkinnyWarrior is pretty long. It's 54 inches long, but if you find yourself needing more room it does have this back opening to store any additional space, for any additional space. And the front has this removable fairing, so if you need to extend anything out past this point. And for the width we have 21 inches so that's gonna leave us plenty of room for anything like a kayak carrier. more

Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket Review - 2023 Kia Telluride- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima SkinnyWarrior on top of the 2023 Kia Telluride. The SkinnyWarrior is a steel cargo carrier with the ability to haul longer items that are gonna be more bulky and dirt if you don't wanna store it in the back of your car. So Telluride does have a lot of space in the back, but just in case you don't have any room or you wanna haul additional items this length up here is gonna help you a lot. If I measure this out, you're gonna see that we have about 54 inches of length on top. Now that's nice, but let's say you're still short on space. more

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket Review - 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the CURT roof-mounted cargo basket on top of the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Our cargo basket is made of steel with a black powder coating, which just means it's gonna be more durable and weather-resistant. That durability is gonna help with, if you need to hang or attach anything to tie down your luggage on top. And then we also have this front bearing, which is gonna cut down on wind drag and wind noise. But if you would like to push anything past this point, you can remove this front bearing, as well. We do have an adjustable clamp here, so it can clip onto any two rungs at any point on our cargo basket. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at the trailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Roof Cargo Basket and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. This is going to be a really great way to carry some extra stuff with you in your Wrangler because with this two door version, you do have a limited cargo space in the back. And if you don't want to mess with anything in the hitch then the roof is the next best place to go to expand that cargo space. And a basket, in my opinion, is a good way to do it too because we're not adding too much height to the vehicle when it's empty. We're going to be opened up so we can store some taller things in there so long as it's properly strapped down. more

This roof basket can carry about 165 pounds, but keep in mind your own capabilities for your own roof. So your own roof might not be able to carry that much weight. And then also think about the weight of the roof rack as well, 'cause that's gonna count towards your own roof's weight limit. Also the total height we have right now is gonna give you almost an additional 10 inches above your roof. So keep that in mind if you're going anywhere with a low clearance, especially if you're gonna have anything in here as well. more

Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now the SkinnyWarrior is a perfect opportunity to carry around maybe some of those larger items like skis or snowboards, or if you're picking up some dirtier items like mulch or fertilizer and you don't wanna keep that inside your car and potentially have it get dirty. Our basket is going to be made out of a durable steel construction, just meaning that any of the points here on the basket are gonna make good tie down points and we don't have to worry about any of it bending like we would if it was aluminum. That being said, we do have a black powder coat finish just to help the steel be very corrosion resistant. But if there does end up being any scratches or scuffs in any areas, that those areas are going to become pretty prone to that corrosion. more

Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket on our 2022 Mazda CX9. Now, a rooftop cargo basket like this is going to have a perfect opportunity to maybe carry around some of those larger items like skis or snowboards or some of those messier items, like mulch or fertilizer that you don't wanna necessarily dirty up the inside of your car. This one especially does have some tall walls, so I would say stuff like maybe luggage would be a little more secure in here, knowing that it is kind of sitting further down, recessed into the basket. Our basket is going to take up a majority of our 50-inch crossbar spread, but I think that's more than perfectly acceptable for something like this. Usually the purpose of it is to max out the available space on top of your roof to carry around some additional items. more

Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket Review - 2022 GMC Terrain- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior on our 2022 GMC Terrain. Now, why might you need something like the SkinnyWarrior Well, if you have additional luggage or cargo that you can't quite fit in your vehicle or maybe it's something that is a little bit dirty, maybe a little bit muddy and you don't want it on the inside of your vehicle, the SkinnyWarrior is going to provide us an excellent opportunity to be able to still carry that on our vehicle without having it inside our vehicle. Now, our basket is going to be made out of a black powder-coated steel, which just means that's a very strong construction being made of steel, meaning any of our bars are going to be excellent tie down points. And even though it is made of steel, it still comes in at about 23 pounds, which is pretty lightweight, and that black powder coat finish is going to help us stand up to the elements and be pretty corrosion resistant. Now, any time you use this, you maybe end up scuffing or scratching it, that means we are going to be more prone to some corrosion in those areas. more

Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. Now, for something like a rooftop cargo basket, what uses does it have Well, if you're wanting to carry around some of those bigger, bulkier items, maybe like fishing rods and wanting to keep them out of your vehicle, or maybe just need some additional storage space, all of those are perfectly legitimate regions for needing a rooftop cargo basket like this. Our rooftop basket is going to have a weight capacity of 165 pounds, but do keep in mind that our roof rack system, as well as some of the components on our car might have their own separate weight capacities, and we wanna make sure we are catering to our lowest number possible. That way, we just don't overload anything and potentially cause any permanent damage to any of our systems. Carrier is going to weigh 23 pounds, which is pretty impressive. more

Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket on our 2021 Nissan Rogue. Now, while our Rogue does offer ample storage space, if you have some items that are a little bit dirtier and you don't wanna keep inside your vehicle, or load it up with people and you need a little extra space somewhere else, this is going to be a great product for you. Now, our cargo basket is rated for 165 pounds and weighs 23 pounds. Those are two numbers that are important to know, because your crossbars and your roof, which is where all the weight is sitting, are going to be weight rated for different numbers. So not only knowing how much this weighs, but how much you can carry, you need to know all your components to make sure you are compensating for the lowest number, so that way, you're not overloading everything. more

Our basket is going to be weight rated for 165 pounds, which is good enough, but we also wanna make sure that we check our crossbar weight rating, as well as our roofs, because these are other components where that weight is going to be sitting. So if either of them have a lower weight rating than our basket, we just need to make sure that we're not overloading either of the components. more

This will be a great option for you to get a little bit more storage out of your vehicle. Maybe you're going on a long trip, maybe you just need to get some messier or larger items that you don't wanna keep inside your car, but you also wanna leave room on your crossbars for some other accessories. So let's take a closer look. Just to give you an example, right now we do have 46 inch crossbars, and we are still able to get this on the overhang of the very end of our side. So we leave all of this side over here for other accessories, whether that's a bike rack, a kayak, whatever you wanna get up here. more

Flint Hill Goods Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2020 GMC Terrain- Video
How's it going, everyone Right now, we are going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Rooftop Cargo Basket, we're gonna see how it fits on our 2020 GMC Terrain. With the Terrain, we do have a good amount of storage, but if you're taking some kind of road trip or maybe just have some larger or messier items that you'd rather not keep inside your car and you want to get them up on your roof, as long as you have a roof rack system in place, this is going to be a great entry level way to do that, so let's take a closer look at how it works and how it fits. My first impression of this basket is that although it does come in at a value price, it does really look sturdy, it looks like pretty much all the roof baskets on the market that have a similar built quality. I mean, it does have that premium finish, but it doesn't come in at that premium price, which I think is really cool. It does have a weight capacity of 165 pounds, keeping in mind though that it does have the weight, as well as your roof rack and your roof rails and your roof of your vehicle are gonna have different weight ratings, so make sure you know what each of those are, go by the lowest rated component just to be safe. On our basket here, we have steel tubing that runs across the top and the bottom as well as straight across to hold our gear. more
