Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2005 Mini Cooper- Video

Today on our 2005 Mini Cooper we're going to be test fitting the Thule Traverse roof rack system using the 50" square bars and the Thule short roof adapter kit. Part numbers THLB50, TH480R, THKIT1366, and TH487. To begin our test fit we're going to open the front doors of our Cooper. We'll then grab the front half of our roof rack. We're going to place it onto the front roof line. Per Thule's fit guide we're going to measure 4-3/4" from the top right edge of the passenger side window back to the leading edge of the foot pack. We'll do this measurement on both sides to be sure we have our feet in line with each other. With our measurements done we'll take the supplied tool and tighten down a little bit at a time going from side to side to secure this portion of our rack. more
