Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Ford Flex- Video

Today we have a 2011 Ford Flex and were going to be test fitting the Yakima Roof Rack System. Well be using the 58-inch crossbars part number Y00409, two sets of the Q131 clips part number Y00731, as well as the Q towers part number Y00124. We already have our crossbars assembled according to the instructions so now were ready to mount them up on top of the vehicle. First well open the driver and passenger side front doors and well place the front crossbar assembly up on top of the roof. Well measure 20 inches from the edge of the windshield to the leading edge of the Q towers on both sides of the vehicle. Once we have the crossbar in position we can adjust the thumb screws and clamp down our Q towers. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Ford Flex- Video

Today we have with us a 2011 Ford Flex and we're going to be test fitting a Thule Square Load Bar Roof Rack System. We'll be using the 50 inch square load bars part number THLB58, the Traverse Foot Pack part number TH480, as well as the fit kit for our flex which is part number THKIT1518. We already have our load bar assemblies put together according to the instructions so now we're ready to mount them up on our vehicle. To do this first we'll open the passenger and driver's side front doors. We'll take our front load bar assembly and place it up on top. To position the front bar we need to measure 20-7/8 inches from the edge of our windshield to the leading edge of the Traverse Foot on either side of the vehicle. more
